Hello:
Well here I go again with an increase in weekly hours of swim, bike and run. Even though last week was a recovery week, 8 1/2 hours still seemed a little tiring. This week is 14.5 hours.
I have developed a Mortons Neuroma in my left foot. I had it injected by a Podiatrist yesterday and boy has that helped. I did a 30 mile bike and 5 mile run, and low and behold my foot didn't kill me by the end. I will need to do a lot of finagling in the up coming weeks in order to balance family and exercise. I need to attend some CME conferences, and kids sporting activities. I plan on riding my bike 100miles at least one day a week, and that will take 6-8 hours depending on wind and hills. I made a down payment on my wet suit, and plan on starting my open water swims in 2 weeks. Our weather still stinks, but I need to keep moving forewords as each day the race get closer. I have gotten the cold weather training down. I hope in the up coming weeks I can get some warm to hot weather training and acclimation. I am concerned that by the time the race gets here, it will be very hot and my body will not be prepared for it.
Adios!
